The intestine contains billions of friendly bacteria (microbiota), important for the well-being and immunity of the child. To promote intestinal balance in young children, live microorganisms such as probiotics can be recommended: fermented milk, yogurt, kefir, dietary fibre, certain enriched foods, and supplements.
