Eat right, grow, and fully develop
During growth, a child’s bones lengthen and grow to reach their full size around 18-20 years old. The brain continues to build, its volume multiplies by four by the time they are 4 years old. The brain activity of the child is twice as important as that of the adult. Cerebral connections multiply rapidly: memory, language, movements, etc. Many biological and hormonal functions are involved during growth1. A child needs energy (calories) and essential nutrients to cover all their bodies’ needs. To learn more about these essential nutrients check out other blogs in our healthy living section.
