An easy weeknight meal loaded with fresh vegetables, tangy mango and tender steak coated in the intense umami rich flavour of black bean sauce.
2 tbsp oil, divided
454g top sirloin steak, thinly sliced against the grain
2 tbsp Shaoxing rice wine or cooking sherry
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp minced ginger
1/2 medium onion, sliced
1-2 Thai chilies, sliced
1 cup snow peas
1 cup cut baby corn
1/2 green pepper, chopped
3 tbsp black bean and garlic sauce
2 pouches GoGo squeeZ® Apple Mango Fruit Sauce
1 peeled mango, large diced
1 tsp sesame oil
1/4 cup loose packed cilantro leaves
3 cups cooked jasmine rice
In a medium bowl, combine steak with rice wine, cornstarch, garlic, and ginger.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in wok or sauté pan over high heat. Add beef and stir fry until browned. Remove to a plate.
In same wok, heat remaining 1 tbsp oil, add onion and chilies; stir fry on high heat for 1 minute. Add snow peas, baby corn, green pepper, and black bean sauce, cook further 2 minutes. Add steak, fruit sauce, mango, and sesame oil stir frying until sauce has thickened; about 2 minutes.
Garnish with cilantro and serve with jasmine rice.
